WhatsApp introduces the ability to edit messages sent to Windows users

WhatsApp recently started rolling out the message editing feature on Android, and now an online report reveals that the Meta-owned platform has started rolling out the message feature for Windows.

And as reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started rolling out the message editing feature to its Windows desktop app. According to the report, the edit option will appear in the message list and allow users to edit sent text messages, and users will be allowed to edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it.
And by using the editing feature, users can quickly correct these errors without the need for further explanation or follow-up messages. It should also be noted that WhatsApp is planning to improve the message editing feature to provide users with a better experience while using the application.

The report added: “The message editing limit is set to maintain the authenticity of the conversation so that users cannot completely change the message after a long time, as this feature is a tool that should only be used to correct typing errors.”

The ability to edit messages is available to some beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta update for Windows released on the Microsoft Store.
