Photo editing with generative artificial intelligence technology is coming to Instagram.. Find out how

 

Meta is starting to make good on its promise to bring generative AI to all of its products, and at the company's Connect event it revealed new AI photo editing and poster creation features for Instagram.
 
The tool, called “Redesign,” is a bit like a supercharged generative AI filter, allowing users to remix their existing images into different looks. “Consider writing a description like ‘Watercolor’ or a more detailed prompt like ‘Collage of Magazines and newspapers “to describe the new look and feel of the image you want to create,” Engadget reports.
 
The company also previewed a new tool called “Background,” which is an AI-powered green screen feature. Users can type prompts like “Put me in front of the sublime aurora” to create a new version of the photo with the relevant background applied. The company did not say when the changes and background will be available. for Instagram users, but she said the tools would be arriving "soon."
 
She added that posts created using both the background and the changes will come with labels that indicate “the use of artificial intelligence to reduce the chances of people being confused with human-generated content.” Meta did not share what the labels will look like, but information screens have been spotted that say “The image that Created by Meta AI" previously created by Instagram.
 
Meta also showed off new stickers created by artificial intelligence, which will be available on Instagram, in addition to WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook Stories. This feature allows users to quickly create custom stickers for their conversations and stories via text prompts. Meta said that the stickers will be rolled out “to select language users.” English” for the company’s applications “during the next month.”
 
These features come as Mark Zuckerberg has repeatedly promised that generative AI features will come to every Meta-owned app, and the company also announced more than 25 AI-powered chatbots, including several characters based on real celebrities and creators.
